In my opinion every marketer should use social bookmarking in some way to get noticed. The problem with the automated tools is that it’s tempting to start bookmarking to every bookmarking site without doing some necessary tasks. When bookmarking to say 10 different sites all the bookmarks needs to have different titles and descriptions. The titles should be around 20 characters long and the descriptions should be about 200 characters. This takes time and some writing skills but to get any benefits from your bookmarking activity it needs to be done.
I mainly use the established bookmarking sites and usually stay away from the pligg and scuttle sites. I don’t know if the scuttle sites help get better ranking but it seems like they are just huge directories of links to poor sites. Some of them have page rank so I guess you should get some benefits from that.
I have been using Bookmarking Demon for a few years now and with the latest updates it really beats everything I have tested. There is other options out there but they cost more or have a monthly fee which I don’t like.
Socialbot or Bookmarking Demon?
Well, Bookmarking Demon cost $147 and Sociallbot $24.95 so this is a big difference in price. For a newbie who wants to try social bookmarking I think Socialbot is the best option it works very good it’s cheap and is updated regularly which is very important when it comes to this kind of tools.
The big difference between the two is the automated part. In Bookmarking Demon you set everything up and the program goes out and create accounts the only thing you have to do is put in the captcha. When that is done you can also automatically confirm you accounts so you don’t have to check your email and click the activation links. This part is a new feature and works well.
Socialbot is semi automated all the fields is filled in when you click sign up so this part is pretty easy and it feels like you have more control. With Socialbot you have to check your email and confirm to activate your new bookmarking accounts. This part actually don’t take that long to do but if you want to create a lot of different accounts per day it is nice when this is automated.
Spinner possibilities
Both of them has the ability to spin titles and descriptions. It can be good to register different user names to the different bookmarking sites, Bookmarking Demon does this easily. Just put user names in separated by comma on one line. It even suggest different names and passwords which saves time. In Socialbot you create a company profile and then a user in that profile where you can pick the bookmarking sites you want for that user. When you create accounts Socialbot picks the user name in the company profile. You can make many company profiles so you don’t have to have the same user name for all bookmarking accounts.
Like I said Bookmarking Demon is more automated and you can easily bookmark many pages to all the major bookmarking sites with much less effort then manual submission. If you buy Bookmarking Demon take some time to learn the program first and don’t try it on your money sites right away. I felt a little overwhelmed when I first started using it. There is many options to choose from so learning the program is essential to be successful. There is a good guide that comes with it which I suggest you read. The support is excellent and the program is updated on a regular basis.
Conclusion
I think Bookmarking Demon is worth the price if you use it wisely and often, you will make that money back not the next day but in a few month or so. Yes, it takes time to do search engine marketing effectively. Check out the sales page here
Socialbot is definitely worth the price it almost does what Bookmarking Demon does and cost so much less, so if you want to start to automate your bookmarking I suggest you try this tool first. Check it out here
